I was born & bred in Devon & have always been based at my parents yard in Ipplepen, Nr Newton Abbot.  I began riding when I was 6 years old ( unfortunately for my parents, who tried desperately to get me to follow in their footsteps & play tennis!! ) and I  became a member of the South Devon West Pony Club.  I enjoyed various successes in WHP classes & then at the age of 11 I was lucky enough to be given Emma Hindle's dressage pony on loan with whom I enjoyed tremendous success, representing the country in Pony Dressage & becoming the youngest rider to compete at Prix St Georges level when I was just 12.

But my passion always lay in eventing & as soon as I was old enough I began to enjoy considerable success with my first horse " Hasty Arrival" who I had straight off the race track as a 4 year old. I went onto be selected for the British Junior 3 Day Event Team with him having finished 3rd in the British Junior Championships at Windsor CCI** in 1997. I also represented the country with him competing in Junior Dressage.  I went on to be selected for two consecutive Young Rider Teams & in 2001 won the Team Gold at The Young Rider European Championships in Waregem, Belgium, finishing 7th individually with "Chaos".  This was another horse I produced from scratch & I won the Senior National Pony Club Championships with him as a 6 year old. That same year I also attained my Pony Club A Test.

I achieved considerable success with "Hollyhill Jovine" whom I started as a 4 year old.  She was my reserve horse for both British Young Rider Teams & took me around Bramham, Blenheim, Burghley and Chatsworth.  She is now enjoying a happy retirement in the field & I have high hopes for the latest of her progeny, who will be 5 next year &  begin her eventing career . Producing young horses is my speciality & something I find extremely rewarding. I have enjoyed considerable success in BYEH classes, my best result being 2nd to Pippa Funnell in the 5 year olds at Burghley.

We have a small & friendly team here at "Stonelands" and pride ourselves on putting each indivdual horse's needs first. With this in mind, I keep the number of horses I compete to a sensible level in order to devote enough time to do each horse justice.
